Hi and a warm welcome to the forum Pearl
If you have an account set up at
https://my.dacia.co.uk/ which contains your vehicle details, service record etc, the warranty purchase is available as a link within, alternatively a direct link to the extended warranty purchase is available here:
https://www.dacia.co.uk/warranty-and-as ... ranty.html You will be asked to provide your car details so they can link the purchase to your car.
If you are concerned about on-line purchasing itself, I can assure you it is absolutely safe to purchase via the links above, I purchased a service plan when I bought my car using the above with absolutely no problems at all.
From what I have read, the extended warranty basically covers items that come under the category of manufacturers defects, it doesn't cover items classified as general wear and tear, the exclusions are detailed in the terms and conditions within pdf files viewable/donloadable from the above links.
It is wise to have a read before purchasing any extended warranties to see if they are what you want, you can also buy extended service plans if required. Regular servicing is a requirement of the extended warranty, but this does not have to be done at a Dacia/Renault main dealer so long as it complies to the manufacturers servicing requirements/maintenance shedule and proof in the form of a stamp in the handbook service record/invoice is retained.
My 3 year warranty also runs out this month, I made the personal decision not to buy extended warranty - but don't let that affect your decision!
Hope this is in some way useful to you, if you have any other questions just ask away.

Hi Pearl
Welcome to this forum.
Our Stepway is about 8 years old and so far the only thing I have replaced except for servicing is the battery which is not covered by an extended warranty. We did however take out a two year extended warranty (back in the day) which went unused but was peace of mind. It’s an insurance and if you think about it, when you take out an insurance do you ever hope to use it?
On our other car, I also have taken out an extend warranty, I’m currently on the third year of extended warranty on it. The renewal was £720 this year but if I had to claim on it, £720 would pay for more than 5 hours Labour at a main stealer.
Having said that I would only take out a manufactures extend warranty, I feel that many of the after market warranty’s are not worth the paper they are written on!

I could not agree more with this, choose the manufacturer's option if any. I wouldn't like to use the term "after market legal scam" of course for the others!

Welcome to DaciaOwnersClub.uk
Extended warranties, they only sell them because they make money on them, The majority of owners get by with no faults apart from routine maintenance and replacement of wear and tear parts such as tyres brakes, shocks and springs etc.
Warranties are one of the piece of mind things, If you never claim you have wasted your money, but is something goes wrong it can pay for itself.
But only consider one if you know that you will be keeping the cr for the length of the warranty.
They sent me an offer of a discount off an extended warrant recently, but I did not even look at it as personally, I have no intention of extending it as I will not likely keep the car that long. I usually change them at about 4 yr old.

I purchased a 7 year warranty back in 2013, when Dacia had no track record in the UK, never had to use it (!) I certainly wouldn't bother now, with all the info that is out there now.
