Bad Dacia Duster

Post by OldBear »

Read an article on my Internet surfing travels and burst out laughing (after I knew no one was hurt) at the headline "Dacia Duster crashes into pylon, Ebberston in North Yorkshire"

I noted the wording by the "Digital Audience Content Editor" (ooh he's a Digital Audience Content Editor - Monty Python Art critic sketch ) Haydn Lewis had written, intimating that the Dacia Duster was entirely at fault for the accident, the driver was only in the car by chance and got out of the car after it crashed itself!

The editor also emphasised it was "a Dacia Duster" again on paragraph 5 Maybe he doesn't like Dacia cars!!!

Definitely one of many.
As a "Digital Audience Content Editor" he would be responsible for the content  and yet a detail I noticed was the fact that Ebberston is a lovely looking village many miles from a motorway, so what photo do they display? Yup, it's a stock photo of Police cars on a motorway halting/slowing all traffic which is completely unrelated to the article, it does however add illusion of drama to the story. This practice is rife throughout all media outlets, take all news with a pinch of salt perhaps because it's not often fact based....

Yes, and here's me thinking it was only Communist countries that manipulated the 'truth'πŸ˜† (as witnessed in the U-turn on the COVID crackdown in China)Apparently the powers that be are claiming it's been their efforts that have enabled the lifting of restrictions rather than the civil disobedience!

I think we need a bit of good old fashioned civil disobedience here as well when dealing with our socialist Governments - whether they be red or blue badge wearers   The NO word is still a pretty powerful thing if enough say it :D

And therein lies the problem:apathy. Have a look at Stuart Fillingham's u-tube video on what's happening in Oxford, it will scare the pants off you. If you thought that we live in a democracy this will give you pause for thought. Make the most of your personal transport while you've still got it.
