This is what happens when you build on flood plains, so what have we learned over the many years of building stuff :shrug dunno: SFA it appears...

That looks like the car park at the Moat House Hotel just outside Reading. Hotel is built on an old mill site and has always flooded. There were a couple of photos in a paper a few years ago of a Tesla owner with his trouser legs rolled up and wading in a flood whilst plugging in to charge! Shocking!

Funny you should say that Forlorn Hope, I recall seeing a photo of what you describe on-line a while back, don't remember where though. In the US a lot or battery cars have (to use the media description) exploded - they simply caught fire to you and I, after getting flooded when the owner has tried to start them after drying out. Basic common sense would dictate that the mix of water and electricity are best avoided, but simple common sense appears to be in pretty short supply these days...

Nice to know our illegals will be using 'green' technology then.

They have no hope of that, have you not seen the crap range of the electric puddle hoppers

And they are far from green
have you seen the pollution created in producing the batteries and the mining for the materials to produce them.
The pollution caused in producing the energy to charge them
The environment issues of the spent batteries

brb I am off to hug some trees

Sorry awbuggrit, I missed your post here
Having given this much serious thought over 2 seconds, I have to say that the Spring or indeed any other battery car will never appear on my shopping list, I need a car that can do at least 500 miles and be able to be topped up ready to go again in 5 minutes, anything less will not even be remotely considered despite all the political nudging and coercion.

You are part of the sensible majority who can see through the current short sighted lunacy being imposed...
