Bigger than the duster, similar engine offerings - it will be underpowered.... Personal opinion - Disappointing.

Been a couple of great yt videos on it and the 1.8cc engine dacia 's biggest engine in the range
I live on Canvey, in the Y-uk, a place a little more exciting than a disappointing poo!!!

The new 2023 1.8 litre N/A engine by Horse only produces 107 bhp, plus the extra from the battery/electric set up of course which will give it the torque it needs. They say it can achieve up to 57.6 mpg. The Tce 150 4 cylinder engines can achieve between 50 and 54 mpg. Why not put a turbo on the 1.8 as well for added efficiency, get it up to 130 and 150 bhp or even 120/140 bhp, this plus the hybrid components I reckon would produce a real fuel sipper. I'd imagine the mpg would be in the mid to potentially the high 60's depending on how it's driven. Just my personal opinions of course - the good thing is we all have one
But as I said, I think they are a superb looking car, I don't need the added internal capacity, but for those that do, the extra space in the load area plus it's Duster like all round practicalities, it will do very well I think!

Tbh OB I don't think a turbo would work in this application, the vehicle is on one of 3 out there that ,as a hybrid goes, take full advantage of Regen braking , so I suspect the engine is doing far less work than you suspect.
I would imagine from what I'm reading that it's gunna be more of a charging unit than a driving unit, so you would have that massive advantage of the battery push than a laggy turbo

So in essence, the engine is basically just a big 230 volt battery charger that provides a tad of power here and there when needed. Hence why you will need to adapt to a slushbox (automatic transmission) instead of a manual shift - not keen on these personally but it makes sense I guess considering the constraints of the system.
Turbo lag? I love the turbo lag and sudden boost - had a Nissan 200SX many years ago - that gave plenty of lag and go, not noticed this in the Duster though
